The second of the two UK Gold Dalek Days airs this Bank Holiday Monday (26 May) in the UK. This time the stories guest starring Davros air.

South African Doctor Who fans get at least one more chance to see the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie on Saturday 24 May at 6:35PM. Technical problems with my ISP kept this column from going out on time, so hopefully you remembered earlier columns and saw the movie when it aired yesterday, 21 May.

Those of us in the US who stay up late or know how to set VCRs - the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie is airing here on the US Sci-Fi Channel late Sunday June 15th at 1AM EDT East Feed / 1AM PDT West Feed.

While I try to keep the column up to date, I do sometimes miss late changes to schedules. If you see TWIDW's information getting out of synch with what your local station is actually airing, let me know ASAP.

Time approximate after Independent Eye. The Doctor's poison-induced regeneration goes about as well as one could expect a poison-induced regeneration to go. Insanity. The new 6th Doctor struggles to pull himself together so his first adventure won't be his last. I've never been a fan or seen the point to the main plot in this story (the twins), but think of it like Star Trek: The Next Generation, where the focus is on the lead characters instead of the actual plot. In this case, if you focus on that, it works quite well. Better than it frequently worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
