Welcome to the weekly digest of all known Doctor Who broadcasts around the world. Due to Thanksgiving in the USA, the column is going out a little early this week. To all of you going to visit relatives, going to conventions, or both, travel safely. Amusingly, Doctor Who's 37th anniversary falls exactly on the US Thanksgiving Day. Happy Birthday to the series. AUSTRALIA - An advance alert to people watching Doctor Who on UKTV on the FOXTEL Cable and Satellite systems. FOXTEL is reorganizing its channel lineup on 2 December. FOXTEL Cable is moving UKTV from Channel 5 to Channel 20. FOXTEL Satellite is moving UKTV from Channel 36 to Channel 20. Doctor Who does not air on UKTV on 2 December, but it will air on 3 December, so if you don't want to miss any episodes, be ready for the channel change. People watching UKTV on Austar will experience no changes. |

USA - The Nationwide Doctor Who Night aired on WCET Cincinnati last weekend, the second station to air it. As of publication time, I do not yet know how well the special did there. We'll know in time for next week's column. The 3 hour special (with Sylvester McCoy in the studio and Remembrance of the Daleks as the story) will next air on December 2nd on MPT in Maryland, KBTC in Tacoma, Washington, and a second showing on WCET. |
