The friends are missing, and stray cats seem to be menacing the populace. In the battle of survival, two old friends of the Doctor will find themselves permanently altered.

The Doctor and company arrive on a ship that makes periodic trips to Earth, sampling its culture and people. As the ship returns to stay, the TARDIS crew must find out if the inhabitants are out to help humanity, or need to be stopped.
