BBC Four http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour is airing The Idiot's Lantern (episode 2-07) this Tuesday at 8:10PM BST as part of a week of shows examining British Childrens' TV. This is the first time that a New Series episode has aired on BBC Four - BBC Four has aired repeats of several classic series stories including Spearhead From Space, The Green Death, Genesis Of The Daleks, and the only surviving episode of The Web Of Fear. |

People + Arts Latin America (Mexico and various countries southward) is starting a run of Series 2 of Doctor Who this coming Friday. It is not clear if they are starting with Christmas Invasion or New Earth - the website has few details. |

BBC Entertainment http://www.bbcentertainment.com (regional channel in Asia) will begin repeating Series 1 as of 9 July. |

Australian network UKTV http://www.uktv.com.au will have a Doctor Who weekend. Saturday 9 June - all of Series 1 in a marathon starting at Noon. Sunday 10 June - all of Series 2 in a marathon starting at Noon (first showing of Series 2 on UKTV Australia). In addition, UKTV is airing Doctor Who Confidential Cut Down. This is only the 2nd time that the Series 1 Confidential episodes have aired outside the UK (they currently run on US public TV stations) and the 1st time that Series 2 Confidential episodes have aired outside the UK. Great chance to catch up in the lead-up to Torchwood on network Ten and Series 3 of Doctor Who on the ABC. Exact start times for episodes unclear as of this writing. |
CBC Canada http://www.cbc.ca/television - it's official. They're starting Series 3 on June 18 at 8PM with Smith And Jones, not The Runaway Bride. |

SciFi US http://www.scifi.com has updated their plans for their Series 3 premiere. Friday July 6 will be the big Who day. An 8 hour marathon of Series 2 episodes from 8AM to 4PM EDT. The Runaway Bride (Christmas special) has its US premiere at 8PM and 11:30PM EDT in a 90 minute timeslot. Smith and Jones airs at 9:30PM and 1AM EDT. (Painkiller Jane airs at 10:30PM that night.) On July 13, Doctor Who settles into a regular time of 9PM and 11PM EDT. No additional encores at this time - tune in on Fridays if you don't want to have to wait a while for repeats. |
During Series 2, the repeat time of Doctor Who moved repeatedly due to SciFi's fiddling around with the schedule. So the 11PM time could change. The 9PM slot ought to be stable - well, stableish. |
