Sweden - SVT http://www.svt.se has purchased Doctor Who. Based on on- air comments during a Christopher Eccleston movie, it is believed that the show will air Thursdays at 8PM in early 2006. It is unclear if it will be SVT 1 or SVT 2. |
New Zealand - Doctor Who got very good ratings for Prime http://www.primetv.co.nz on its premiere night. The episode aired cropped to 4:3 fullscreen (not the 14:9 letterbox crop which the show was filmed to accommodate - important information is being cut off). The closing credits aired with no voiceover, allowing viewers to hear the music without distraction. The Sunday repeat for Rose was a one time thing - catch future episodes on Thursdays or you're out of luck till the DVDs come out. |

South Korea - KBS 2 http://www.kbs.co.kr concludes its broadcast of the 2005 Doctor Who series this Sunday at 11:15PM. There will be no second Doctor Who episode that night. It is unknown if repeats will air, or if future series of the show have been purchased. |
