Real Time - the 6th Doctor audio story which was featured on the BBCi website last year - is now back online again. Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho/ , the same place you go to hear Shada. Like its original run last year, Real Time is available with illustrations by the same artist who illustrated Shada. It is unknown how long the six 10 minute episodes will be online, or indeed how long Shada will remain online.

New Hampshire Public TV http://www.nhptv.org/ has turned on its final digital transmitter (WEKW-DT 49 Keene, NH). Their digital channels have also begun a simulcast of their analog channel on subchannel 2, so their programming is available in digital virtually statewide. However, the simulcast currently runs from 10:30AM to 10:30PM weekdays, 10AM to 10PM weekends, so it does not currently include Doctor Who. Still, it is another step to being able to see Doctor Who on the digital frequencies of the dial.

New Hampshire Public TV and WCNY 24 Syracuse, NY http://www.wcny.org/ seem to be shuffling between Doctors now. WCNY jumped to the 3rd Doctor last week (according to their schedule) and is apparently starting a 5th Doctor story next month. New Hampshire Public TV is scheduled to go the the 4th Doctor next month, when they will have only aired 2 stories from the 7th Doctor's era.

Iowa Public TV http://www.iptv.org/ is now available to more viewers. DirecTV http://www.directv.com/ has launched its Des Moines locals package, with KDIN 11 as the IPTV affiliate. They have also taken control of KQIN 36 Davenport, IA (formerly KQCT 36), a station in the Quad Cities area of Iowa and Illinois. KQIN will shortly go from low power to full power, bringing Iowa Public TV to some new areas and filling in gaps where previously you had to see the network on cable or pull in KIIN 12 from another city. KQIN-DT will be on channel 34 when it goes on the air.

While I try to keep the column up to date, I do sometimes miss late changes to schedules. If you see TWIDW's information getting out of synch with what your local station is actually airing, let me know ASAP.

On July 20 The Caves of Androzani (a 5th Doctor story) is set to begin. Is this a best-of run, and are they aware that they are not giving enough weeks to each individual story?
