From ancient Syria to present day Sheffield, and out into the wilds of space, something is stalking the Doctor and her friends. As Graham, Yaz and Ryan return home to see friends and family, they find themselves haunted by very different experiences.

Who is the figure calling from beyond the stars for help, and why? And what are the fearsome Chagaskas terrorising Aleppo in 1380? To find the answers, Team Tardis embark on a mission that forces them to face their darkest fears.

Rankings are recorded by Nielson's Adult 18-49 score for original cable shows, indicating the percentage of the participating audience in that age category watching the programme. Praxeus achieved 0.10, placing it 81st overall in the chart; it was the only programme to chart on BBC America for the day. 404,000 viewers watched in total, making it the 92nd most watched programme of the day.

The highest rated show of Sunday was ESPN's XFL: St Louis vs Dallas, which achieved a 0.93 share with 2.495m viewers.TLC's 90 Day Fiance continued to be popular, pulling in 2.631m viewers and a 0.77 share at 8:00pm. The third spot was another 8pm show, Bravo's Real Housewives Atlanta with 1.701m/0.62. Doctor Who was 14th overall in its timeslot, which as well as the two shows above also included Power 6 on Starz (5/0.43/1.185m), Sportscenter Special on ESPN (11/0.31/728K), Home Town on Home and Garden TV (13/0.29/1.754m), Beauty and the Beast on TBS (15/0.25/798K), Queretaro/America on TUDN (16/0.25/531K), The First 48 on A&E (19/0.23/725K), Naked & Afraid: Alone on Discovery (28/0.21/796K), My Daughter's Been Kidnapped on Lifetime (43/0.15/659K), Life, Liberty and Levin on Fox News (65/0.11/1.766m), The Aquarium on Animal Planet (67/0.11/605K), Utah vs Houston on NBA (77/0.10/357K), Highway Thru Hell on The Weather Channel (106/0.06/384K), Drain The Oceans on Nat Geo (110/0.06/460K), The SS Circus on Showtime Prime (118/0.05/186K), Shipwreck Secrets on Science (123/0.05/303K), Dr Pol Compilation on Nat Geo Wild (129/0.05/436K), and CNN Newsroom (135/0.04/384K).

Taking into account the full week (Mon-Sun), the episode was ranked 625th overall in the P18-49 rankings, and 699th in terms of total viewers. It remained the top programme for BBC America, with the second highest show being Seven Worlds, One Planet (857/Sat/0.06/372K) and various episodes of Deep Space Nine during the week.
