Young Matthew has had to endure a terrible few years in which he has suffered from both cancer and a stroke. The 12-year old would like nothing more that to return to his home in Telford, Shropshire, but unfortunately it is completely unsuited to his medical needs, so he is stuck in hospital. Now, the efforts of his schoolmates and their headteacher have inspired the DIY SOS team to join their crusade to get Matthew home, where they're planning a Doctor Who design.
