Dalek Day One begins on UK Gold. Ian and Barbara arrive on an alien world for the first time. The world appears dead, but two life forms survive. One species looks and sounds a bit like mildly dopey humans. The other species has pulled back into a city, hidden away in anti-radiation armour, bitter over the war. Despite the better judgement of Ian, Barbara, and Susan, the 1st Doctor will get them stuck between the two forces.

Dalek Day. The 1st Doctor finally gets Ian and Barbara back to London. But the city is deserted and devastated. The Daleks have taken control of all Earth. As humanity faces its possible twilight, the TARDIS crew joins the remnants in a last ditch battle for survival.

Dalek Day concludes. The 3rd Doctor and Sarah find their vacation interrupted by a power drain on the TARDIS. Also affected - a human ship and a Dalek ship, both in search of the same cure for a rare disease. The Doctor and the Daleks may have found a force more powerful than they are - a hyperintelligent City.
