A story about endings and beginnings. The UNIT family is fraying at the seams. The 3rd Doctor is never around when the Brigadier needs him. Jo Grant runs off to take part in a crusade which seems to be directly in the way of UNIT's current mission. And a mysterious professor is preaching tales of woe if Global Chemicals is not shut down. In good news, the Doctor finally makes it to Metebelis III, and he's even brought back a blue stone from there.
