Report from the This Week in Doctor Who Archive:
Friday 23rd April 1999:
UK Gold
Late Friday from 12:15 to 2:30AM The Dominators movie format
Sunday from 9:20 to 11:05AM The Deadly Assassin movie format
On UK Gold's Black & White Friday night, the 2nd Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe visit a peace-loving planet for a vacation. Unfortunately for them, two Dominators visit the planet as well, and they sure aren't looking for a pleasant beach. "Shall we destroy?" Sunday morning (or afternoon if you have a VCR and the timer works properly) the 4th Doctor is summoned back to Gallifrey, where he learns that the President's life is in danger. This is the only TV story where the Doctor does not have a regular companion at any time.
UK Gold Classics
Sunday from 6 to 7:45PM The Deadly Assassin movie format
Same as the Sunday morning broadcast, but at a better time for the few who have this digital station.
