And we are back. The Gallifrey convention was a lot of fun. It was
nice meeting some of the other Who fans out there (too many to name).
Hopefully I will be back next year. Probably with a laptop so that
This Week can be published live from Gallifrey. But that's a year
away, and there are schedules to go through.

USA - SciFi http://www.scifi.com has scheduled The Sarah Jane Adventures and Doctor Who. Sarah Jane - Fridays at 8PM EDT/PDT starting 11 April with a 1 hour broadcast of Invasion of the Bane. Subsequent episodes are listed in half-hour tmie slots. Doctor Who starts with Voyage of the Damned in a 90 minute slot - 8:30PM and 11PM EDT/PDT on 18 April. Regular time 9PM and 11PM EDT/PDT from 25 April. The Who franchise will have 2 of the 3 hours in the popular "SciFi Friday" brand, with new Battlestar Galactica at 10PM and Midnight EDT/PDT. This may be the best scheduling SciFi can ever give new Who - the Doctor and Sarah's best chance to win the hearts of the American public. Times are based on Cable, where viewers in the Pacific Time Zone see shows at the same time as the Eastern Time Zone due to a West Coast Feed. Satellite subscribers have the East Coast Feed, so 8PM EDT will be 5PM PDT and so on.

Also in April, SciFi USA will continue the Friday 5AM Doctor Who
episodes and have an 8 hour Daytime Rotation marathon of Series 2 on
11 February at 8AM EDT/PDT, the day that Sarah Jane Adventures
premieres.

UK - Yes, SciFi has announced a premiere date for the 4th Series and
BBC One has not. Shades of 2005 when CBC Canada announced Series 1's
premiere date before BBC One. BBC One will be airing the episodes
first. The BBC probably has not made a final decision on the airdate
yet - late March or early April are the most likely times.

SciFi Germany http://www.scifi.de has apparently picked up Doctor Who for a pay TV run beginning in June or July (babelfish's translation of German is a tad confusing at times). While SciFi does not have the reach of Pro7, it will be good to see the show get a second shot in the German market, hopefully with more success than round one. Time will tell if Pro7 airs the rest of their episodes at any other day and time.

Hong Kong - ATV World added The Sarah Jane Adventures on Sunday 17
February at 6:25PM (starting with Revenge Of The Slitheen pt 1). This
news came out after the last column came out.

AUSTRALIA - ABC2 http://www.abc.net.au/tv , the over the air digital
second channel of ABC Australia, has revamped their lineup. Doctor
Who Series 1 joins the channel Fridays at 8:30PM starting on 29
February. See it again from the new beginning.

CANADA - BBC Kids completed their initial run of The Sarah Jane Adventures, and it looks like the episodes will cycle through at least twice more in the Sunday 9PM Eastern/6PM Pacific and 4AM Eastern/1AM Pacific slots beginning 24 February. Ztele completes its weekday French language repeat run of New Series 1 through 3 this Friday 29 February at 5AM Eastern.

UK - UKTV Drama did not fully drop the weekday episodes after all. They took off from the 18th to 22nd. Then the 12:20PM and 5PM episodes air from 25 to 29 February. From 3 March the weekday episodes are only at 5PM British Time. The weekend omnibus repeats seem to be skipping some weeks, depending on whether the latest weekday story has finished. UKTV Gold's weekday run of new Who lasted 5 days. For now, the weekend broadcast of new Who is also off the air.

BBC Prime Africa http://www.bbcprime.com - I'm curious why the
African variant of BBC Prime has not gotten Series 2 yet, as they
aired Series 1 and The Christmas Invasion with BBC Prime
Europe/Middle East, and traditionally most of their schedule has been
the same. Series 1's repeat run finishes today, and then the show is
off the schedule for a bit. Return date unknown.

The US Public TV schedule information is in Section B. 17 stations
bought The Christmas Invasion so far, and Doctor Who is coming to PBS
network Alaska One in March.
