BBC One and CBBC in the UK are currently running the 1st full series of the Sarah Jane Adventures, with Elisabeth Sladen reprising her role as Sarah Jane Smith from the 1970s Doctor Who episodes and The Five Doctors (and the School Reunion episode of the new show, Series 2, and the 1981 K9 & Company pilot, and other projects). |

SciFi http://www.scifi.com is airing Last of the Time Lords this Friday at 8PM and 1AM Eastern to conclude the 3rd Series. Expect them to use the international version that the BBC is supplying to stations who will not run the 51 1/2 minute version of this episode. Canadian viewers saw the episode on the CBC last Monday - the CBC cut additional material beyond the BBC's edit - the proper "international version" edit is at the CBC Doctor Who http://www.cbc.ca/doctorwho site for the next few weeks. It can only be accessed by computers the website believes are operating out of Canada. |

It has largely escaped notice so far, but BBC America http://www.bbcamerica.com ran a brief ad Wednesday hailing "BBC America HD - Coming in 2008". Most of the programming on BBC America was either produced in HD (ex: Torchwood, Robin Hood) or a standard definition widescreen format (ex: Doctor Who, Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares), so they should benefit nicely from the bandwidth and widescreen presentation. SciFi Channel HD should be on the air soon as well, which could benefit future broadcasts of Doctor Who on that station, at least if you get the HD version of the channel. |
BBC7 http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7 is currently repeating the Big Finish 8th Doctor audios that have previously run on the digital radio station. 1 hour weeknights at 6PM and Midnight BST. BBC7 can be heard live online through Windows Media Player or Realplayer. Shows can be heard through the Listen Again page for 7 days using RealPlayer. |
