The Homechoice http://www.homechoice.co.uk TV service in the UK has put a selection of Doctor Who on their on demand services. Homechoice previously offered a selection of The Sontaran Experiment, Genesis Of The Daleks, and Revenge Of The Cybermen several years ago. Subscribers note that the new package is on channel C1. At the moment it consists of the following stories: The Three Doctors (4 episodes) (Jon Pertwee era) The Deadly Assassin (4 episodes, end of episode 3 is the edited less violent version) (Tom Baker era) The Caves Of Androzani (4 episodes) (Peter Davison era) Timelash (4 episode version) (Colin Baker era) The Curse Of Fenric (original 4 episode version) (Sylvester McCoy era) Rose, The End Of The World, The Unquiet Dead, Aliens Of London, World War Three, Dalek, The Long Game, Father's Day, The Empty Child, The Doctor Dances, Boom Town, Bad Wolf, and The Parting Of The Ways (cropped to 4:3 ratio) (Christopher Eccleston era) |
|
NRK 2 http://www.nrk.no Norway is translating the titles of the episodes on their web listings. Currently they have them for the first 4 episodes. Until a Norwegian translation is assigned I will use the English language title. Episode 1 (Rose) was titled Tidenes Utflukt. |

BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca has another case of production versus broadcast order coming up on their Doctor Who schedule. This time it involves the Jon Pertwee stories. The October schedule has the 12th Pertwee story (The Sea Devils) airing before the 11th (The Curse of Peladon). This particular switch won't cause many problems for viewers as those stories have no connection to each other. The production versus broadcast order will cause more confusion later. For those interested, here is the difference between the intended broadcast and the order of production. |

TWIDW would like to welcome back readers of the rec.arts.drwho and rec.arts.drwho.moderated newsgroups. Due to a recent change in internet providers I am able to supply the column to the newsgroups, where it began back in 1998. |
|
The BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice and C21 Media http://www.c21media.net often announce when a Doctor Who international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case. |
