A newly regenerated Doctor is taken to the Rani's base by Urak the Tetrap. Meanwhile Mel meets some of the Lakertyans and falls into one of the Rani's traps.

(Due to the current unavailability of the Colin Baker stories, WYBE has switched to Sylvester McCoy.) The Doctor's regeneration and amnesia leads him to unwittingly help an evil Time Lady fix a device to alter the fabric of time. Now, he and Ace must undo the damage and free a people from slavery who don't seem to want to be helped. Kate O'Mara's impersonation of Mel (Bonnie Langford) and Sylvester McCoy's portrayal of a Doctor unsure who he is and who he will be are the highlights of this story.
