The Ice Warriors plan to destroy the atmosphere of Earth, which would still leave it habitable for their invasion fleet. The 2nd Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe work at the moonbase to try to end this cold war once and for all.
Wed 6:05PM Spearhead From Space ep 1 of 4
Due to copyright issues regarding Dalek appearances in stories later than The Chase, the 10 episode finale of the 2nd Doctor (The War Games) will not air on ABC at this time. The Daleks had a cameo in episode 10, and ABC chose not to edit the episode. Instead, the 3rd Doctor's era begins with the first ever colour episode. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart of U*N*I*T is investigates unusual meteor showers. In one such shower, a familiar-looking Police Telephone Box turns up. But the occupant doesn't look at all like the man the Brigadier remembers - The Doctor.
