The TARDIS returns to the Ark 700 years after its last arrival. The 1st Doctor, Steven, and Dodo are the same as before. But the balance of power on the Ark has changed, and the future of humanity stands on the brink of disaster.

A rotten sweet from the previous story (missing from the BBC archives) leaves the 1st Doctor with a bad tooth in need of pulling. Arriving in Tombstone in 1881, the Doctor seeks a dentist. Alas, the only dentist in town is the infamous Doc Holliday, who has a date with destiny near the OK Corral. And he looks more like the Doctor than the Daleks' robot did. Ballad of the Last Chance Saloon sung by Lynda Barron.
