Count Grendel is plotting to seize the Taran throne from the rightful heir, Prince Reynart, and has mistaken Romana for an android duplicate of the Prince's betrothed, Princess Strella, to whom she bears a remarkable resemblance.
The Doctor is meanwhile captured by Prince Reynart's men Zadek and Farrah and taken to his hunting lodge, where he is forced to repair an android double of the Prince to act as a decoy for potential assassins.

Last rerun in 1988. Medaevil antics abound as Romana is lured into a plot by Count Grendel to assume the throne of Tara, and the Doctor is lured into a plot by the rightful prince to get the throne back. With Peter Jeffrey as Count Grendel and Cyril Shaps as the Archimandrite.
ยป reported the following week that programming was pre-empted on 29th April for a football game.
Thu-Fri 6PM The Power of Kroll eps 1 - 2 of 4
Last rerun in 1988. The 5th segment of the Key To Time is hidden on a swamp moon. No time to look for it though - the Swampies are busy shouting "Kroll, Kroll" and the human technicians are going "Methane, Methane!" Obviously the Swampies got the better lines.
