To save humanity from the plague, the Doctor must destroy the alien city that is trapping everyone on the planet. But as soon as he destroys the city, the Daleks will take off and make the planet uninhabitable, keeping the cure from humanity anyway.
Afterwards - The Monster of Peladon ep 1 of 6
The Doctor returns to Peladon to see how things are going, just in time to get caught in a dispute between modernizers and miners.
