Doctor Who remakes a Greek myth - Jason and the Argonauts. Sneaky historical references and dodgy special effects are expected to occur. Admittedly, the Greek myth didn't have a spaceship crashing into the heart of a young planet, but you can't expect the Greeks to think of everything.
