The Doctor and Jo arrive in 1926 on the cargo ship SS Bernice. But when the TARDIS is taken by a huge hand and a dinosaur appears, the Doctor suspects that all is not as it seems.

Afterwards - Carnival Of Monsters ep 1 of 4
William Hartnell gives his final television performance in the conclusion of "Three Doctors", a pivotal episode that changes the ground rules for the 3rd Doctor and sets up a major event for the 5th. By the way - no recorders were harmed during the filming of that episode. Later, the 3rdDoctor and Jo find themselves on board a doomed cruise ship in the South Sea in the Summer of 1926. The ship is attacked by an extinct monster.
