The Krynoid decides to destroy the Chase mansion, while the Doctor, Sarah, and Scorby are still inside. UNIT, in its last official action of the Tom Baker years, decide to bomb the place. (Well, okay, it was the Doctor's idea, but it's interesting that the last regular UNIT action is to drop a bomb.)
