The 4th Doctor, Leela, and K9 continue their travels through time. First, they try to launch a revolution against the Company that has treated humans like slaves. Then they land on a ship from a dead civilization heading for a planet that should not exist to fulfill an impossible quest. It seems that the Time Lords' mistakes have come back to cause the Doctor grief.
