The evening saw a visit by Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant and John Nathan-Turner to the Blackpool Doctor Who exhibition, signing autographs and collecting donations. Then, back in the Children in Need studio, Sir Terry Wogan and Sir Patrick Moore see the TARDIS materialise with a whole host of Doctor Who stars arriving to present a cheque for the charity.
