Medical student Martha Jones's life takes a dramatic turn when the hospital she works in is transported to the moon. CAST: David Tennant, Freema Agyeman.

In the repeat screening of Doctor Who: Smith And Jones, for Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman), a medical student in Central London, an ordinary day turns into a nightmare when her entire hospital is transported to the moon. Martha reasons that because she can still breathe, there must be some sort of force field holding the air in and that this is due to alien intervention.

The Doctor (David Tennant) has been at the hospital incognito as a patient called Smith since noticing the installation of ‘plasma coils’.One of the patients, Florence Finnegan (Anne Reid) overpowers the consulting specialist Mr Stoker (Roy Marsden), with the help of her slabs (slave creatures) and sucks out his blood.

Then a large number of aliens enter the hospital. They are humanoid with rhinoceros heads. The doctor immediately identifies them as The Judoon, a mercenary police force. The Judoon are searching for non-humans and resistance is met with summary execution.

Joining forces with the Doctor, Martha Jones has to battle the Judoon and outwit Mrs Finnegan. It is Mrs Finnegan, the blood-sucking Plasmavore the Judoon are hunting for the murder of ‘the child princess of Patrivole Regency Nine’. While all this is happening the force field is leaking air and hospital oxygen supplies dwindle.
