Le Docteur entraîne ses compagnons à Genève, à la villa Diodati, en 1816 afin qu'ils assistent tous au moment où Mary Shelley trouvera l'inspiration pour son roman «Frankenstein». A leur arrivée, ils apprennent que la demeure serait hantée. En outre, Percy, le futur mari de Mary, a disparu. Un spectre, portant le nom d'Ashad, fait alors son apparition...
