Donna Noble is determined to find the Doctor again - even if it means braving the villainous Miss Foster and her hordes of sinister Adipose. CAST: David Tennant, Catherine Tate.

Press Release:
David Tennant returns as the eccentric Doctor roaming space and time and defeating alien monsters in the return of this popular science-fiction series.

In Series 4, the Doctor has a new companion in award-winning actress Catherine Tate, who reprises her role as Donna Noble, the runaway bride who appeared in the 2006 Christmas Special.

The first episode of the new series sees Donna tracking down the Doctor during an alien emergency in modern-day London. The couple experience a series of wonderful adventures, including visiting Pompeii on the eve of the historic eruption; and an encounter with the legendary murder mystery novelist Agatha Christie.

Freema Agyeman who played Martha Jones, the Doctor's companion throughout the critically acclaimed third series, returns to the show mid-series to join the Doctor and Donna. (She left the TARDIS at the end of Series 3 to care for her devastated family and to break the cycle of unrequited love she felt for the Doctor.) Also making welcome reappearances in the series are Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) and John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness of Torchwood).

Monsters in this series include a Pyrovile (an enormous fire-breathing humanoid creature made from stone and magma); the tentacle-faced Ood; and the return of the Sontaran warriors, who first battled Doctor Who 35 years ago.
