When 2 space missions lose contact with Earth, the 3rd Doctor, Liz Shaw, and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart search for answers. They find roadblocks at every turn. Black & white version. The movie version MPT is using and most stations had looks incredibly bad for episode 5 - if you get the story on VHS you'll see it looking much better. Just the luck of the stations in the US that a poor print was used.
