The Master has set up shop in a village near the Devils End archaeological dig. This places him in position to take the lead when an ancient evil is unearthed. Soon, the village finds itself cut off from the world, and the 3rd Doctor investigates a creature that looks like the Devil. Maryland Public TV's schedule indicates that The Curse of Peladon will air next week, skipping The Day Of The Daleks, a story currently unavailable to air due to the Dalek/Terry Nation contract renewal.
