A newly regenerated Doctor is taken to the Rani's base by Urak the Tetrap. Meanwhile Mel meets some of the Lakertyans and falls into one of the Rani's traps.

Intro: That sultry, fallen Time Lord The Rani, and her batty henchmen the Tetraps, oppress the lethargic local population on Lakertya while they work on a sinister project. Enter The Doctor, but not of his own volition. Tonight, the new Doctor arrives to encounter "Time and the Rani."
