This slot was originally scheduled to show an episode of Doctor Who between 4:40-5:05pm - this would either have been Spearhead From Space: Episode 1 according to the EPG, or The Three Doctors: Episode One according to the UKTV website, which listed "A gel-like plasma creature arrives on Earth & hunts down the Doctor, who calls on the Time Lords for help. They then send the Doctor's earlier selves to join him."

The first four Doctor Who revisited specials from BBC America will air this Sunday, August 18 from 4:40pm on UKTV.

These programmes provide an introduction to each of the previous incarnations of the Doctor, and are designed to work alongside a specially curated selection of stories. Featuring interviews with key cast and crew along with classic clips and a montage of the DoctorsÂ’ key moments, iconic lines, and monsters, these programmes are the perfect companion pieces to some of the classic and newer Doctor Who. Featuring contributions from Steven Moffat, John Barrowman, David Tennant, Caroline Skinner and Neil Gaiman, among others.

Schedule change details

The original schedule had either all four episodes of The Three Doctors (listed on the website) or Spearhead From Space (listed in the EPG) in those timeslots instead.
