There is only one planet that can supply the necessary elements to repair pirate world Xanak. The planet's name is Earth. And we all know how Xanak gets minerals. Since this story was written at the same time as the original radio version of Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy, I wonder if Douglas Adams was thinking of the Vogan Destructor Fleet at this moment in script writing.
