The 4th Doctor wants Leela to experience some culture and civilization, so he takes her to 19th Century London to see a classic Victorian theatrical act. Alas, murder and mayhem ensue. While Leela knows better how to deal with that than 19th Century fashion, it doesn't exactly help the Doctor's efforts at civilization.
