The Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS) was a public radio/television broadcaster in the Netherlands, originally starting as a "pirate" station broadcasting from an offshore drilling platform. Having been closed down by the government it then went legitimate, and showed programmes that they believed their viewers would want to see.

The channel flirted with Doctor Who twice. In 1975 it commenced with stories from the first couple of Tom Baker seasons, many with a shorter lead time over the original UK broadcasts. Then in 1985 they broadcast a number of stories from the first couple of Peter Davison seasons. However, none were ever repeated.
