TVG is a public service channel based in the Galacia area of Spain, near Portugal. Its aim is to promote Galacian language and culture, with programming in the local dialect (though adverts are often in Spanish). At the end of 1996 an international version of the channel was broadcast in America, with an Internet service commencing in 1997. The channel can be seen in other parts of Spain and Portugal via cable providers.

Between 1988 and 1991 the channel showed the first twelve Tom Baker stories (Robot - The Masque of Mandragora), dubbed into Galacian (i.e. not Spanish), the series being known as Doutor Who.

Further details on broadcasts can be found via this blog.
