SPACE: The Imagination Station launched on 17 October 1997 at 6pm ET, owned by CHUM Limited. The company was bought by CTVglobalmedia in 2007 and then by Bell Media in 2011. The name remained in use until 12 September 2019, when it was rebranded as the CTV SciFi Channel.
