Movie Mix UK
Channel History
The Freeview channel is owned by Media Mix (UK) Limited (formerly Square 1 Management Ltd), and was originally launched in July 2009 as The Big Deal, broadcasting a live interactive quiz show and later teleshopping. Then in April 2011 it started to broadcast TView, a pay-per-view film service, and also psychic sessions.
On 6th December 2012 it was renamed Movie Mix, showing teleshopping and a classic movie, then from 17th January 2013 it started to simulcast the Sony-owned More>Movies channel (available on Sky), retaining its Movie Mix brand name.
On 22nd March 2016 the More>Movies channel was retired from Sky and Freesat, and is only available on FreeView.
On 10th January 2017 the channel ceased broadcasting, with the Sony Movie Channel becoming the primary channel across all media platforms in the UK.
