Having previously been broadcast on TVNZ, Doctor Who switched to the new TV2 channel, with Day of The Daleks shown on 1st September 1975. The series continued for the next 24 years, switching between TV2 and TV1 before remaining on the former with Revenge of the Cybermen part three on 10th February 1987. The final episode to be shown was Paul McGann TV Movie on 3rd July 1999 - from 2000, New Zealand broadcasts moved to Prime TV.
