Torchwood This Week - February 23, 2008

TORCHWOOD THIS WEEK
February 23, 2008 - Vol 2, No 7
The weekly guide to Torchwood transmissions.

And we are back after a Gallifrey convention gap.
As mentioned in the last edition, BBC Three (with a BBC HD simulcast)
is getting the episodes first at the moment, one week before the
primary broadcast on BBC Two. If that seems confusing, remember - BBC
Two is Terrestrial and has been around since 1964 - it will get a
much larger audience than a show on BBC Three, which those who have
not converted to digital (or have poor digital service) do not have
yet.
Basically:
Saturdays 9:10PM - BBC HD - repeat of the previous Thursday's BBC Two
pre-watershed episode (was 8:10PM in previous weeks)
Tuesdays 7PM - BBC Two Scotland only - Torchwood pre-watershed, 5
days after it aired on the rest of BBC Two
Tuesdays 7:50PM - BBC Two Scotland only - Torchwood DeClassified
Wednesdays 9PM - BBC Two all regions and BBC HD - Torchwood (main
unedited airing) (Northern Ireland is back with the network from this
week after last week's exception)
Wednesdays 9:50PM - BBC Three and BBC HD - Torchwood - premiere of
the next episode
Thursdays 7PM - BBC Two (except Scotland and Northern Ireland) -
Torchwood pre-watershed version of the Wednesday BBC Two episode
Thursdays 7:50PM - BBC Two (except Scotland and Northern Ireland) -
Torchwood DeClassified
Since the UK and the USA airings seem so close together, it is worth
reminding people of the time lags that do exist so UK and USA fans
don't accidentally spoil big plot twists that they thought their
compatriots knew about.
Right now - new episodes - Wednesdays 9:50PM on BBC Three and BBC HD
(at least the next two episodes)
Most of the UK see it - 7 days later - Wednesdays 9PM on BBC Two and
BBC HD
Pre-Watershed Viewers - 8 days later - Thursdays 7PM on BBC Two (not
in Northern Ireland, 5 days after that in Scotland)
BBC America Viewers - 17 days after BBC Three, 10 days after BBC Two -
Saturdays 9PM Eastern on BBC America
BBC America On Demand Viewers - 19 days after BBC Three, 12 days
after BBC Two
HD Net USA Viewers - 33 days after BBC Three, 26 days after BBC Two,
16 days after BBC America - Mondays 7PM Eastern on HD Net USA
Netherlands - yes, the web link was bad again. I really think it is fixed this time - http://www.scifi-tv.nl . Torchwood airs several times per week.
Doctor Who schedule information is in This Week In Doctor Who
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thisweekindoctorwho .
I am trying to find websites and station information for some of the
more elusive Torchwood sales. If you spot it airing or getting ready
to air in your country, and I've missed it, let me know so it gets
into the next edition and more fans get informed.
Corrections and updates are welcome at torchwood-
