Episode 5 of The Ambassadors of Death was aired in colour on UKTV in Australia on Thursday. This was a recoloured episode, which was surprising since UKTV had aired episode 1 in black and white, even though episode 1 still existed in its original colour format, and would have looked better. Since only episode 1 exists in the original colour and only episode 5 was successfully restored, Ambassadors is usually offered only in the black & white format, to avoid confusing viewers. |

The "Dead Ringers" parody show on BBC Radio 4 last weekend turned out to be more related to Doctor Who than anyone had expected. In addition to their regular sketch where "The Doctor" calls someone for help (the operator of a taxi service this time), there was also a preview of an upcoming Doctor Who movie - Doctor Who meets Are You Being Served? |

Less than 48 hours after last week's column noted that all the US PBS stations had switched to airing Doctor Who in episode format, MPT in Maryland aired TheVisitation in movie format. No comment. |
