As last week's Doctor Who cliff-hanger concluded, 'The Empty Child' walked menacingly towards street urchin Nancy (Frances Hoath), while the deceased gas-mask people in the hospital came to life and were advancing upon the Doctor (Christopher Eccleston), Rose (Billie Piper) and Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman). "The Doctor Dances", the Doctor Who episode screening on Saturday July 23 at 7.30pm on ABC TV, follows the race to halt the zombie army which is on the march as plague spreads through wartime London.

The Child's plague is spreading alarmingly, and its zombie army is on the march. It appears no one is immune. Can the intergalactic conman "Captain" Jack and his sonic blaster help the Doctor and Rose to escape the zombies? And with Jack and the Doctor locking horns, Rose finds herself torn between two time travellers.

Then the Doctor realises the significance of the Nanogenes, nano robots with healing abilities. But is it too late and what of Nancy who by now has been captured by the authorities and handcuffed to a British soldier who is quickly turning into a Gas Mask Creature calling for its Mummy?
