Friday 29 September:
SciFi US 8PM/10:30PM - The Christmas Invasion (Series 2 Premiere!)
SciFi US 9:30PM/12AM - New Earth
Monday 9 October:
CBC (Canada) 8PM - New Earth (Series 2 Premiere - in English!)
Tuesday 21 November:
BBC America 10PM EST - Series 1 Repeat Run
Date to be Announced:
BBC Three - Torchwood - spinoff series - it's coming soon ...
BBC 7 and Big Finish are collaborating on a series of new 50
minute Doctor Who radio dramas starring Paul McGann as the 8th
Doctor, according to Doctor Who Magazine. The stories will premiere
on BBC 7 at Christmas and get CD releases in 2007. They will feature
a new companion and be set at some point after the departure of
Charley Pollard, the current 8th Doctor companion in Big Finish's
direct to CD audio dramas. For now, the repeat run of 8th Doctor
audio stories on BBC 7 continues Sundays at 6PM and Midnight British
Standard Time.
UKTV Australia will begin airing Doctor Who series 1 on Sunday 1 October.
US SciFi begins its run of Doctor Who Series 2 on Friday 29 September at 8PM EDT with a 2 ½ hour premiere (The Christmas Invasion and New Earth). Only 16 days to go now.
BBC America began running a Doctor Who trailer during The Avengers and the Series 1 finale of Life On Mars on September 11. It was the "Do You Want To Come With Me/Fireball" trailer that BBC One and Prime New Zealand viewers saw in 2005 before Series 1 started. BBC America has gotten Series 1 (the 13 Christopher Eccleston episodes). It will air Tuesdays at 10PM Eastern (7PM Pacific) starting November 21, and we'll learn any repeat times later (probably 2AM Eastern/11PM Pacific, and others). No idea on whether SciFi will still be able to repeat Series 1 after this point.

BBC America typically airs dramas up to 45 ½ minutes long in 1 hour slots (as opposed to 43 ½ minutes on SciFi), so if they get copies of the episodes from BBC Worldwide Americas instead of using SciFi's copies, the episodes that were cut for time on SciFi will probably be uncut this time through.
UK's BBC Three and UKTV Gold are doing repeat runs of the new Doctor Who. BBC Three airs Series 1 and 2 weeknights at 7PM BST. UKTV Gold will begin repeating Series 1 (skipping Rose and The Unquiet Dead) weeknights at 6PM & 2AM starting Monday the 18th. UKTV Gold + 1 airs the UKTV Gold schedule 1 hour later, so if you want to see the episodes on both UKTV Gold and BBC Three, catch the early evening showing on the main Gold instead of + 1.
UK Military forces serving around the world get a repeat run of
Series 1 on BFBS 2 starting this Sunday at 5:30PM CET. First up -
Rose and The Parting Of The Ways.
Maryland Public TV aired The Ark In Space at 12:27AM last weekend instead of 12:30AM in a late schedule change. If you are taping The Sontaran Experiment on that channel this weekend, visit their website on Friday afternoon to see if there are any more late changes. As of this morning MPT's website says that The Sontaran Experiment will air at 12:30AM after a pledge special, though Tivo's software thinks it is starting at Midnight.
Torchwood This Week (TTW) is in the planning stages and will launch
when Torchwood premieres. It will be a column detailing when
Torchwood is airing around the world much like This Week In Doctor
Who does for Doctor Who. Since Torchwood will be its own series and
is likely to develop its own audience, it will have a separate
column instead of being part of this one. The details will get
worked out in the weeks before Torchwood premieres (here's hoping
the BBC announces a premiere date soon).
The BBC Press Office and C21 Media often announce when a Doctor Who
international sale occurs. Worth keeping an eye on, just in case.
Corrections and updates are welcome at thisweekindoctorwho- , TWIDW on AOL IM , and thebfe on Yahoo
