BBC Four is getting deeper into its
Summer In The Series. The Sci-Fi night is scheduled for Saturday 26
June, and speculation has been rife that a Doctor Who episode will
air. The most concrete evidence for this yet can be seen on the
public BBC Four Message Board, BBC Four Forum section, under topic
Doctor Who Episode. Ellen (name in the official moderator blue)
claims that BBC Four is currently trying to clear The Web Of Fear,
but it is not confirmed yet. Presumably this would be episode 1 of
the story, the only episode currently known to exist. By no means
can this count as an official report. When BBC Four announces their
finalized plans for 26 June, I will send out an update on the TWIDW
mailing list.
American Who is moving back to internet
exclusive status due to Business Talk Radio shrinking the time for Sci-Fi
Overdrive from 4 hours to 3. The
first new internet exclusive episode will come out June 15 - see
listing for details.
DirecTV is rolling out local TV channel service in many more cities this month. One of the new markets (Omaha, Nebraska) includes a Doctor Who affiliate - Iowa Public TV affiliate KBIN 32. Dish Network has already included the Omaha locals and KBIN 32 for a while. If you're in the Omaha market, it's another option for getting the station that airs the Doctor.
KBTC/KCKA Tacoma/Centralia, WA is running a Doctor Who pledge drive this Saturday from 6 to 10PM Pacific Time. Featured story - The Talons of Weng-Chiang.
Shada , the illustrated
audio full cast remake of the Douglas Adams Who story, is going back
online. Episode 1 is now up, with subsequent episodes arriving on
the website Tuesdays at Noon British Standard Time. Stars Paul
McGann as the 8th Doctor.
Upcoming air dates of the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie on the Starz!
