TWIDW Update: UK Gold, KTEH San Jose, KCKA Centralia
(posted 13th Nov 2003, 4:49am - TWIDW post #0191)
Some late updates to the November 12 This Week In Doctor Who column.
1) UK Gold has (since Tuesday) removed references to the 5PM Saturday Jon Pertwee episodes originally scheduled for November 15 and 29, replacing them with alternate programming. This follows the late change on November 8 where Inferno was finished early Saturday morning. It would appear that the Saturday Pertwee run has been cancelled, or at a minimum suspended. In another late change, this Saturday's start time of The Awakening (5th Doctor story) has moved from 7:20AM to 8AM. All other Doctor Who broadcasts (including future weekend airings) remain as they were. No, no accurate info on what times various stories will start during the Doctor Who @ 40 weekend. For UK Gold + 1, all Doctor Who stories airing (or not airing) will air (or not air) one hour later than the UK Gold times.
2) KTEH/KCAH 54, 25 San Jose/Watsonville, CA actually is airing a Doctor Who related feature this week. KTEH's interview with Tom Baker (which made a few headlines several years back when it was briefly lost) will air Late Saturday at 1:35AM PST. Set your VCR/DVD recorder/DVR.
3) KCKA-DT 19 Centralia, WA is now on the air, bringing the digital version of KBTC Tacoma to more viewers. For most people with digital tuners KCKA-DT 19-1 will remap to 15-1, to correspond with the location of the analog channel.
