Welcome to the weekly guide to Doctor Who on Television.

UK - More Who On UK Gold - This weekend, UK Gold is airing a bonus Doctor Who movie on Monday 26 August, a Bank Holiday over there. Also, there are reports in the UK that UK Gold has scheduled Doctor Who movie broadcasts late on Friday and Saturday nights in September. It is not known yet if those will be repeats of the Saturday and Sunday morning movies or alternate stories altogether.

POLAND - Tele 5 seems to have only purchased a few stories, airing them out of order, and is already rerunning them. We will try to keep up with whatever Tele 5 is doing, if that is possible.

USA - Upgrade in New Hampshire - New Hampshire Public TV
http://www.nhptv.org/ is moving the start time for the Thursday night Doctor Who episodes from Midnight to 11:30PM. The late Saturday rerun will still begin at Midnight. Change occurs in September. One amusing thing - NHPTV's September schedule indicates that they will air a 4 part version of {s[The Five Doctors}} Special Edition. I was not aware that there was a 4 part version of that variant of The Five Doctors.

CANADA - Reminder for BBC Kids http://www.bbckids.ca/ - starting Sunday 1 September, the 3:30PM omnibus weekend airings are discontinued while the 10:30PM omnibuses move to 2AM. The weekday airings are unaffected, and new (to BBC Kids) episodes will air on the weekdays.

While I try to keep the column up to day, I do sometimes miss late changes to schedules. If you see TWIDW's information getting out of synch with what your local station is actually airing, let me know ASAP.

The Minyans are unprepared for what the Doctor will discover.
