Bride-to-be Donna vanishes as she prepares to marry her boyfriend Lance and suddenly reappears, to her complete astonishment in the Tardis. CAST: David Tennant, Catherine Tate.

The Doctor (David Tennant) still smarting from the loss of Rose Tyler, comes to the rescue of Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) a bride who is walking down the aisle to marry Lance Bennett (Don Gilet) the man she loves when she is enveloped by glowing golden energy, vanishes, and to her astonishment materialises inside the TARDIS. Donna is furious until she realises that the Doctor is as astonished as she is at what has happened.

In attempting to get Donna back to the church the Doctor sees the same Santa Claus band he'd seen the previous Christmas and realises that something is amiss. Donna boards a taxi which has been commandeered by one of the "pilot fish" robots and, after a daring rescue by the Doctor, is returned to the wedding scene, but not for long as the pilot fish make a return visit.

The Doctor soon learns that Donna and Lance work for HC Clements Security and realises that it is a front company for Torchwood. All the time the Doctor and Donna are closely watched by the sinister figure of the Empress of Racnoss (Sarah Parish). At the Clements premises the Doctor discovers a sub-basement and a Torchwood science base. It soon becomes clear that Donna is the key to an ancient alien plan to destroy the Earth. Can the Doctor stop the Empress before she unleashes a terrible wave of destruction from her web ship?
