DRAMA It seems so long ago... all the fuss about whether Matt Smith would be a worthy successor to David Tennant. And he was! Here's another chance to thrill again to his debut as BBC3 repeats the last series.

Steven Moffat's story pitches the Doctor straight into an eerie adventure centred on the little girl, Amelia Pond, who is worried about the crack in her wall. Sometimes she can hear a voice through it, too.

It's a comparitively low-key start, but that feels only right and proper as we were all feeling our way, including the new companion (the winning Karen Gillan).
