BBC Entertainment (Europe)
Channel History
BBC Worldwide's Entertainment Channel for Europe, covering Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain (inc Canary Islands), and Switzerland. The BBC Entertainment site lists times in CET (+0100) for Central Europe, which is the time being used in these listings.
The channel replaced BBC Prime in November 2009, which broadcast throughout Europe and Africa. (Israel was added over the week beginning 17th June 2000.)
During the first quarter of 2016 BBC Entertainment was withdrawn from a number of mainly eastern European countries as the region was being re-aligned to using BBC First: the countries that no longer received the service were: Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
On 22nd July 2017 the channel returned to Turkey.
