ZTV was a cable channel in Sweden operated by MTG and started broadcasting in 1992. Originally devised as a music channel (ala MTV), but also showed local Swedish programmes and then later imported entertainment from other countries when the headquarters moved from Stockholm to London. In 2004 the demographic was changed to focus on male interests, with much of its in-house programming replaced by football and wresting. In 2006 it effectively returned to its roots as a music channel as its other programming moved to the new TV6 channel, but did start to broadcast anime from 2007.

Doctor Who was shown briefly between 1996 and 1997, featuring stories between Planet of the Spiders and The Android Invasion (but skipping The Sontaran Experiment).
