OETA has announced programming changes to its secondary standard definition channel, OETA OKLA. The programming changes take effect Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. Previously, OETA’s prime-time programming from its main channel has repeated on OETA OKLA the following night. Starting in January, each night will have a designated day and time blocks of repeats on OETA OKLA. The prime-time blocks rotate daily from 1-4 a.m., 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. The PBS NewsHour re-airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on OETA OKLA.
Other changes include the inclusion of children’s programming on OETA OKLA Sunday and Saturday mornings from 7-11 a.m. and the addition of lifestyle programming weekday mornings from 7:30-11 a.m.Shows produced by OETA and other Oklahoma independent producers that have run in rotation on OETA OKLA now have a dedicated weekday and weekend time and blocks for repeats. These shows include Oklahoma Gardening, Oklahoma Horizon, ONR, Outdoor Oklahoma and Sunup.
